Dental Bridges
Dental bridges work the same way as crowns do. If you are experiencing missing teeth with two healthy …
If the damage inflicted to your teeth hasn't affected you in depth leaving a significant portion of it healthy, restorative dentistry has a quick and easy way to fix it with the help of dental inlays and onlays.
Inlays and Onlays are immediate fixtures done for teeth that haven't suffered from any severe damage.
They are manufactured from materials such as porcelain, resins of a composite, or with metals such as Gold. Inlays and onlays are quite different from each other.
An inlay is more like a filling that goes within the cusps of the tooth. An onlay does not extend deep within but only over the cusps of the tooth.
Porcelain is an increasingly popular material used to manufacture inlays and onlays due to its strength and natural-looking color.
The procedure involves very simple steps. During your initial appointment, the dentist would remove the damaged portion of the tooth. The tooth would then be prepared to receive the filling material. We take impressions of the existing teeth before conducting any procedure. This ensures that the customized filling is properly fit. Until the restoratives are ready, the dentist would seal the tooth with a sealant. Once the restoration is prepared, it will be carefully attached to the existing tooth structures with the help of durable resin. The tooth's surface would then be polished to ensure a smooth finish.
